About Ashleen: Experienced London Therapist | Clear Mind

About Me

I’m a psychotherapist specialising in trauma and somatic holistic healing therapy. I work with people who’ve experienced difficult family relationships, childhood wounds, or life-altering events—helping them move from merely coping to truly living. Healing childhood wounds with therapy can help you understand your emotional responses and make meaningful changes.

My journey began as a teenager, when I couldn’t pinpoint anything that was wrong—there were no obvious traumas I was aware of—but deep down, I knew something didn’t feel right. I often felt numb and disconnected, even though, on the surface, it appeared as though I had a good life. Overcoming trauma through therapy allows individuals to connect the dots and make sense of their emotional state.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the corporate world, going through the motions but feeling unfulfilled and out of sync with myself. It was through my own therapy that I realised there was never anything wrong with me—I was simply responding to my early conditioning. I was living a life that didn’t reflect who I truly was, performing in ways I thought would make me feel safe and accepted. Trauma-informed therapy for emotional healing helped me navigate my own journey to find my authentic self.

I know first hand how easy it is to get stuck in a life that doesn’t feel like your own. But I also know that change is possible. My journey of self-development didn’t just lead me to therapy as a career—it shaped how I live my life. Therapy isn’t just something I offer, I believe in doing the work myself, and I bring that same honesty and commitment to my clients. Psychotherapy for overcoming anxiety and depression can help you take steps towards a more fulfilling life, just as it did for me.

Therapy with me isn’t just about processing pain—it’s also about celebrating wins, finding moments of joy, and reconnecting with yourself in a meaningful way. I take a professional but down-to-earth approach, balancing deep therapeutic work with the belief that healing should also include lightness and laughter when possible. Humour is a very powerful healing tool, and I believe in using it to help people reconnect with their inner selves.

Healing is possible. You don’t have to do it alone. Psychotherapy for relationships and marriage issues can help you rebuild trust and communication.

How I work

My approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe that no single method fits everyone—each person’s story, challenges, and strengths are different, and therapy should reflect that. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, navigating a wide range of issues, from family issues to work-related stress. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how diverse and personal the healing process can be.

I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Transactional Analysis, Relational Therapy, Person-Centred approaches, CBT, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic therapy. This allows us to explore how your past shapes your present and how you can create meaningful change moving forward. Somatic therapy for emotional healing helps address stored tension in your body, allowing you to reconnect with your body while healing your mind.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate somatic therapy, trauma-informed practices, and holistic approaches. Healing isn’t just about understanding your thoughts—it’s about reconnecting with your body, releasing stored tension and trauma, and rewiring old patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll work on building a life that feels safe, authentic, and fulfilling—not just in your mind, but in your whole being.

This is a space for deep exploration, but also for growth, resilience, and rediscovering the joy in life.
